How Do I Install TorchTiger Engineer?
-
01
Add the Extension
Install on Chrome or Edge (v120+). A slim Engineer tab appears on any ServiceNow page.
-
02
Connect Your Claude
On Community, paste in a key from your Anthropic account, which needs a little credit, and set a passphrase to encrypt it. On Team, use your team’s AI profile (Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, or your gateway).
-
03
Ask Your Instance
Open the panel and ask how anything works — business rules, scripts, flows, ACLs. It reads your instance and streams the answer back.
-
04
Build With Approval
Turn on write mode and it proposes a plan first. Nothing changes until you approve — scoped update sets, revert from the change log, never on production.

Common Questions
Is TorchTiger Engineer free?
Community is free for a single developer: bring your own Anthropic key, run it entirely in your browser. Team ($20/dev/mo) adds the TorchTiger-hosted Hub and team-wide governance. Members sign in to the Hub. Each browser checks in with TorchTiger every 15 minutes and sends it a record of every AI change.
Which browsers are supported?
It installs as a browser extension in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, version 120 or newer. A slim Engineer tab then appears on the right edge of any ServiceNow instance page.
Can I use it on production?
No. It runs on development and sub-production instances only. On production the AI switches off: no chat, no reads, no writes; the extension only reads the instance’s settings to tell production apart. It also stays off on any instance it can’t confirm is non-production.
Do I need to run a server?
No. TorchTiger Engineer is a browser extension, so there is nothing to host or manage. Install it, connect your Claude, and ask your instance.
What Claude access do I need?
On Community, bring your own Anthropic API key, encrypted in your browser. On Team, your admin sets the AI profile members use — the Anthropic API, Amazon Bedrock, or your own AI gateway.
